The Bffff Show: Whats the topic?

Its been long overdue, but my Bffff Dale and I are going to do a podcast but what to talk about???

Our last podcast was about Dale and his experiences growing up gay and we’ve been itching to do another show but we dont know what to talk about. We can talk about anything for hours and hours but what would you like us to cover in our next podcast?

From Illusion to Clarity

Its amazing how much distress you can endure and still come out of it with your mind intact. We’ve all been there. Suffered the devastating pain of anxiety, stress or painful realization that your life is not quite as it seems. No matter what you do, no matter how honored you try to live, the painful reality that it is how it is can be a slap in the face.

And in some weird way, it is uplifting. You take off the illusions and the clarity of your life is almost refreshing. If you’re lucky enough you can see the mistakes of your past and begin to understand how not to repeat them. If you’re brave enough.

This phase we call enlightenment makes me wonder if this is the reason why we struggle with what we struggle with. To come to conscious awareness of our own lives, our own realities, can be a revelation for many of us. But what do we do with those revelations? What can we do?

I consider my own revelations and wonder if I can afford the effort to do anything about them. Because to change my path will have a huge impact, one I may not be quite prepared for. Yet. Can I weather the storm that will come, if I decide to morph into someone with a completely different direction?

I feel like Im in a war already and soon I will have no choice but to take up arms if I am to survive. If I fight this war, who will survive? I know I will. The manipulations that have lead me to this space in time have given me strength and courage to fight a battle I have always won. My greatest weapon is my integrity because mine beats all.

To evolve in this ever growing phase of enlightenment is the ultimate goal, to gain understanding, clarity and maybe… courage.

We shall see.

But What About His Friends?

Random post I wrote because I keep coming across a certain news story everywhere I go, online, offline, pubs, lunchrooms… Im not sure what Im trying to say in this post but it relates to thoughts I have about shame, the most debilitating emotion known to humanity. I may write on it later but for now, this post comes from trying to understand shame and how the reactions from others can possibly cement it within our psyches, maybe forever.

By now, somewhere on the internet many of you have probably stumbled across the piece of news about the footballer and his lewd act with a dog.

The story goes, the footballer and his team and some friends were at a party after one of their games. In a drunken state he decides to play a “prank” on an absent team mate by “simulating” a sex act with the absent mates dog. Another team mate takes a photo of the act and “somehow” the photo ends up on Twitter… and all hell breaks loose.
